Chicken Steamed Dumplings


Dumplings or Momos whatever you call them you cannot deny that they are delicious. I do not like the fried momo but absolutely loved the steamed one. It is healthy and easy to make. I was thinking of sharing a simple and healthy recipe with you all so here it is. The steamed chicken dumplings.



Ingredients-

  • 1 cup flour
  • 150 gm Chicken
  • 2 small onions chopped
  • 2 spring onions chopped
  • Sale per taste
  • Hot water to kneed the flour
Method-

  • Kneed the flour, make soft dough and divide into 4-5 balls.
  • Roll the balls into evenly shaped circles (the way you make puri).
  • Cover them with a wet and clean piece of cloth so that it remains hydrated and soft.
  • Boil the chicken with salt. Keep the stock aside.
  • Mince  the boiled chicken.
  • Mix chopped onion and spring onion with the chicken. Add little bit of salt in it. The stuffing is ready. 
  • Take the puri and place some stuffing in the center. Fold one end on the other and give it the shape of half moon. Follow this procedure to all the puris.
  • Now you can use a normal pressure cooker or rice cooker and pour water in there.
  • In case of pressure cooker place the dumpling in an airtight box and place it on the water. Lock the lead and let it cook for 12-15 minutes in the boiling water.
  • In case of rice cooker place the dumpling on the tray that comes with it and place it inside the rice cooker. Put the lid on and let it cook for 12-15 minutes.
  • Your dumplings are ready. serve it with sauce or you can add spices to the chicken stock and serve it with the dumplings.
