Posting after a month long break.. So I have decided to start with the dessert. After all, life is short and you should eat dessert first.
Having a chocolate lover partner could be a tough thing at times. But this time I decided to opt for Adult Mango mousse instead of any chocolate dessert. Had some ripe and sweet mango at home. It was great and somehow I was impressed with myself. ( That is really a hard thing). If you are wondering what adult mango mousse is- well I had some blended scotch whiskey at home and I mixed bit of it in the mousse. You can skip it or you can use any liquor of your choice in your mousse. I liked the flavor and richness.
So here goes the recipe,
Ingredients-
- 3 ripe mangoes
- 1 Tbsp honey
- 1 Tbsp Ballantines blended scotch whiskey
- 2 Tbsp fresh cream
- 1 tsp Gelatin powder
Method-
- Blend the mangoes smoothly in a blender.
- Mix cream, honey and the liquor in it. Blend till it becomes smooth and cloudy.
- Add the Gelatin into 1 tsp water and heat it in microwave in 40% temperature for two minutes.
- Add the gelatin mixture into the blender and mix well.
- Put the mixture in cocktail glasses or bowls.
- Refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
Note- Blend the ingredients really well so that you get the cloudy texture in it. It should be light but creamy.
