Caramelized Teriyaki Chicken Kebab

Everyone likes kebabs. It was a weekend when I suddenly started craving for kebabs. However the available kebabs at the food stalls didn't really attract me and I thought of making something at home. I have always heard of teriyaki chicken but never tried it at home. With some time at hand I thought of finally trying my hand on it. With little bit of improvisation I finally ended up making Caramelized Teriyaki Chicken Kebab. And yeah, it was super delicious!!


Ingredients for Teriyaki sauce-


  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3-4 Tbsp rice wine
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2tsp minced garlic
  • 1tsp chopped ginger
  • 1tsp corn starch (optional)




Method-

  • Combine the element on a deep pan. Stir continuously.
  • Wait till things melt and mix well.
  • If you want the glaze then mix the corn starch in it and stir continuously.
  • Your sweet and tangy Teriyaki sauce is ready. Keep it aside.
Ingredients for Caramel-

  • 1cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom and cinnamon grounded
Method-

  • put the ingredients in a deep saucepan till it starts to form bubble.
  • Stir non stop.
  • Mix well till everything is melted and mixed well.
  • Keep aside.
Ingredients for the kebab-

  • 300 gm chicken pieces (preferably boneless)
  • 1tsp garam masala
  • salt according to taste
Method to marinate the kebab-

  • Wash the chicken properly.
  • Mix the teriyaki sauce with the caramel.
  • Put the salt and chicken in it.
  • Marinate for half and our
Method to cook-

  • Pre-heat your microwave oven in 180 degree.
  • Place the chicken pieces in a skewer and place inside the oven.
  • Bake it for 25-30 minutes.
  • Keep buttering in between.
  • The beautiful aroma will tell you that your tasty and glazing Chicken Teriyaki kebab is ready.
  • Serve hot.
TIP- you can use the readymade Teriyaki sauce instead of making it at home, if you wish.
