Cakes are often over rated. Many people crib about the taste, texture and color of their home made cakes and they usually prefer to purchase it from the stores. Here I am going to share a simple cake recipe that is easy to make and tasty to eat.
Preparation time- 20 minutes.
Baking time- 50-60 minutes.
Ingredients-
- 150gms Flour,
- 150gms Caster sugar,
- 50gms Butter (melted),
- 2eggs,
- 1tsp coffee powder,
- 1tsp baking powder,
- 2tsp cocoa powder
- 1tsp oil for greasing the mold.
- 1/2tsp vanilla extract/essence
How to make-
- Take a bowl and mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and coffee powder well. Keep it aside.
- Take another bowl and crack the eggs in it.
- Mix the caster sugar slowly in the eggs and keep whisking.
- Mix the melted butter in it. Keep whisking.
- Keep whisking till all the ingredients mix up smoothly.
- Fold this mixture to the flour mixture and keep whisking really well.
- Mix the vanilla extract in it. Keep whisking.
- Do not mix water in it. If it is too thick to whisk just pour a few drops of it.
- Once you get a silky smooth texture you need to keep it aside.
- Grease the mold well and pour the mixture in it.
- Put your convention microwave in convection mode.
- Preheat in 180 degree.
- Put the mold inside and bake fore 50-60 minutes.
- Insert a skewer after 45-50 minutes if it is coming out clean then your cake is done. Otherwise bake it for few more minutes.
- Take it out. Give some time to cool it and then slice it equally.
- Serve it with mousse, coffee or just as snack.
- Enjoy.
