Whiskey Tenderloin steak

I tasted different types of Beef steaks at many food joints and yes, the only type of meat that I absolutely love is Beef. Few weeks back I was watching TLC channel when I came to know about the Drover restaurant in Nevada and their popular Whiskey steak. So, I decided to make it at home. I did not have any recipe at hand and I did everything based on my instinct. Thankfully, my instinct were mostly right I got tasty whiskey tenderloin steaks at home. I now seriously think I will stop eating beef at any food joints and it seems my dear husband thinks the same too... Now, that is called Happiness... 

So here goes the recipe for Whiskey Tenderloin Steak. Enjoy!

Ingredients-


  • 1 cup Whiskey
  • 1/2 cup Soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup Tamarind-Oak sauce
  • 2 Tsp Sesame hot sauce
  • 2 Tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • 2 Tsp Honey
  • 1 Tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1Tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 1Tbsp Ground Spices (Toasted and powdered Cinnamom, Cardamom, Cumin, Cloves)
  • 3 Tenderloin Steaks

Method-

  • In an air tight bowl mix all the ingredients except the Tenderloin steak. Shake and mix the ingredients well.
  • Add the beef steak in the mixture.
  • Cover and marinade for 6-7 hours or overnight.
After marination-
  • Drain the marinade.
  • Brush oil on an aluminium foil pack or baking pan.
  • Set your microwave oven in convection mode and pre-heat in 160 degree.
  • Place the beef steaks inside for 7 minutes each side.
  • The medium rare whiskey tenderloin steaks will be ready.
  • Serve it with mashed potato.
P.S- If you want the steak to be well done then you need to bake each side for 7-8 minutes in 200 degree.
