Who doesn't love the soft, spongy buns. If they are filled with yummy tasty chocolate and oreo then it becomes absolutely impossible to resist that. I had some oreo at my home and chocolate is always available so I thought of making something for the evening snack and it was yummy to say the least.
Ingredients for the choco oreo filling-
- 3-4 oreo biscuits (incl the choco filling)
- 2-3 squares of dark/milk chocolate
- 1 tsp butter
Method-
- grind the oreo biscuits.
- double boil the chocolate and butter. When smooth mix the oreo crust in it and mix well till you get a muddy mixture. Keep it aside.
Ingredients for the bun-
- 1 cup plain flour + 1/2 cup more
- 1 tsp yeast, activated
- 1 egg, for brushing
- pinch of sesame seeds
Method-
- Knead the flour dough using the activated yeast. Keep it in a warm place, covered, till it becomes double in size. Then knead it again till you get a homogenous dough. Add more flour in it for the consistency. Make small balls from the dough.
- Roll the doughs into 4-5 inch flat discs.
- Place some chocolate mix inside and wrap the dough properly around it.
- Let them rest for 15-20 minutes.
- Pre-heat the oven in convection mode in 200 degree C.
- Beat the egg and brush on the each dough.
- Sprinkle bit of sesame seeds on them
- Bake for 20 mins.
- Serve warm.
P.S- when it is cold, heat in the microwave for 20-30 seconds before serving.
