Lebu lonka chicken ( Chicken with chili and lemon)

Cold, flu, fever can often kill the tastebuds for sometimes and it becomes difficult to find out what would taste good. Here is a healthy and extremely tasty recipe that will surely bring back the tastes after flu, cold or any such thing. This is a chicken recipe I named "lebu lonka chicken". This is inspired from a recipe I saw on TV. I made a few changes in that and came up with this one.

I loved this recipe because it does not have the typical spices in it, yet the result comes out extremely tasty and yummy. If you are looking for easy and interesting chicken recipe then this would be ideal for you.



Ingredients-

  • 500gms chicken 
  • 1 tbsp yogurt
  • 1/2 cup green chili paste (adjust according to your chili tolerance)
  • 1 cup lemon juice + 3-4 tsp lemon juice extra.
  • 1/2 cup fresh cream
  • 1/2 cup onion paste
  • 1/2 cup garlic paste
  • salt
  • sugar
  • 1 tbsp ghee/white oil
  • Few cinnamon sticks
Method-
  • Mix the chicken, yogurt, onion paste, garlic paste, 1/2 of the lemon juice together and marinate for 1/2 an hour.
  • Heat the ghee in a deep pan. Add the cinnamon sticks in it and let the aroma comes up.
  • Add the chicken (not the juice of the marination) and fry till it becomes light golden.
  • Add the remaining marination, chili paste, salt and bit of sugar in it and close the lid for 8-10 minutes.
  • Now open the lid and add the fresh cream in it. Give it a stir, add the remaining lemon juice and cover it again for 7-8 minutes.
  • Serve hot with steamed rice.
P.S- Fish lovers can use this recipe on fish. It tastes amazing with Bhekti, Rohu and Pomfret fish.
