Veg Fried Rice

Fried rice has always been my favorite. I love that colorful veggies in the rice. it is also a great way to feed vegetables to those who usually do not like them. I often do this trick to make my better half to eat carrots and other vegetables. I usually opt for the easiest way to make veg fried rice. It is fast and easy. I prefer the smell of Oregano, if you wish you can avoid it. Also, you can add other vegetables, bacon and egg if you wish.

Ingredients-
  • 2 cups cooked Basmati rice
  • 2 medium carrots chopped
  • 1 large green capsicum chopped
  • 2 medium onions chopped
  • 3-4 spring onions chopped
  • 7-8 cloves of garlic chopped
  • 2 Tsp soy sauce
  • 2 Tsp Chinese Five spices powder
  • 1tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp grated ginger
  • Salt per taste
  • Sugar (if needed)
  • 2-3 tsp sunflower oil


Method-


  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the vegetables properly.
  • In a small bowl mix the soy sauce and sugar. Keep it aside.
  • Mix the cooked rice into the fried vegetable.
  • Add salt, Chinese five spices, grated ginger and oregano.  Stir continuously.
  • Pour the sweet soy sauce into the mixture and stir vigorously so that the rice do not stick together.
  • Put the flame off and cover the lid for couple of minutes.
  • Serve hot.
